I was born and raised on Orcas Island in Washington State, which is part of a group of islands called the San Juan islands. My family runs a whale watching business, so growing up I was raised on boats. I love everything about being on the water and I LOVE whales. In fact, whale conservation is very important to me! Save the whales! After high school I wanted to see more of the world so I traveled for three years and lived in Hawaii, Australia, and Thailand before going to college. During college I started dating a professional bodybuilder and he was a wealth of knowledge and taught me so much about being healthy, eating clean and working out. I attended one of his bodybuilding shows (as any supportive girlfriend would 😉) and as I am watching the bikini competitors I told myself “if they can do it I can do it too”. Right after that I took all the knowledge I had learned and started applying it to my life and living the lifestyle everyday. After that, I did two shows and won 1st place in the Washington State body building championships. I then went on to compete in the Olympia amateur, a competition where people come from all over the world to compete. It is one of the toughest competitions in the industry and I took first place in the overall category and earned my pro card after only two years of competing. Such an amazing and life changing experience!!! Everyday, I am thankful for finding bodybuilding because it has helped me grow so much as a women, taught me discipline, and really helped me understand that you have to put in the work to reach your goals. I love the lifestyle of being healthy and fit, in mind and body, and I try and live it everyday because if I can’t take it on myself then how can I possibly show up for anyone else. I am excited to meet each and every one of you, share in your journey and help you reach your fitness goals. Let’s crush it together!! XOXO, Sarah
